Marketing & Management Consulting

Web & Logo Design: Marketing & Management Consulting

In March of 2018 I was approached by a client to rebrand their company, Marketing & Management Consulting. They needed a logo, as well as a revamp of their website.

I first communicated with the client about their logo needs. They did not have much of an idea in mind except for the use of maroon as the main color in the logo.

I developed the MMC logo to be a versatile logo - it is recognizable, it is clear what the logo stands for, and it is usable in both small and large contexts (business cards, posters, web applications, etc.).

MMC also wanted a rebrand of their website. Originally designed by a web developer, the client found the website to be messy, disorganized, and lacking brand unification.

I started with market research, identifying common characteristics of successful websites within this industry. From there, I developed a website mockup in Photoshop. Focusing on using the existing layout and functionality of the website as per the client's request, I started with the banner, the most eye-catching part of the homepage. I reworked the banner by including a dynamic, coded-in translucent information box with a call to action button that links directly to the banner's corresponding web page within the site.

I then conceptualized a new design for the categories below the banner. In the original design, the category boxes are cluttered and the spacing between the elements within - the icons, text, and surrounding rounded-corner frames - overwhelm the viewer. My main drive was to create welcoming and functional categories.

Once approved by the client, my wireframe was passed on to the web developer and translated into the current website.

The original website design. The client liked the basic framework and functionality, but needed graphic design elements to be reworked.

The current website, based on my redesign. I focused on a clean, modern, more airy design that contained consistent branding elements such as the color and logo use.
