Graphic Design: Plum Paper
From July 2017 to August 2018, I worked as a Graphic Designer for Plum Paper, located in Oceanside, CA. Plum Paper is a fast-growing ecommerce site that specializes in personalized planners, notebooks, and other paper products. For more information, check out plumpaper.com.
As a part of the design team at Plum Paper, I worked closely with other graphic designers, the lead graphic designer, and the CEO of the company on a variety of design projects: web and user interface development, pattern illustration, color testing and printing, information and layout design, product photoshoots, social media marketing, and photo editing. In all of these areas, I designed with the Plum Paper established branding in mind, using advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Lightroom.
My primary role within my graphic design capacity at Plum Paper was layout development and information design. Plum Paper offers many customizable layout options within the planners, as well as Add On sections that add extra functionality in different areas of life: Budgeting, Meal Planning, Fitness, Direct Sales, Teacher and Homeschool Planning, and more.
I researched, designed, and developed multiple add ons as well as journals, new planner layouts, and adapting existing layouts into different agenda sizes.
One of my largest projects at Plum Paper was developing and launching our line of A5-sized planners and notebooks. This included developing functional designs adapted from our most popular 7"x9" planner and Add On Section layouts, resizing planner cover designs, building multiple years of planner pages, creating product preview images, and coordinating the organization and uploading of hundreds of images and files to the site. I also worked closely with the production team in the launching of this line of products.
